Party Hire on the Gold Coast

The City of Gold Coast looks after more than 2,000 parks. Most everyday use needs no approval, but a bigger birthday or a private function is a booking.

What to know about Gold Coast

Booking a Gold Coast park

With more than 2,000 parks to choose from, the City of Gold Coast leaves most everyday use alone. A wedding ceremony or a birthday may need consent, and a social gathering or private function of more than 50 people is a park booking (City of Gold Coast). Anything run as an outdoor event needs a permit, applied for 30 business days ahead (outdoor events on public land).

Tweed Heads

The Gold Coast's urban area runs south across the border into Tweed Heads in New South Wales, where Tweed Shire Council sets the park rules. Tell us which side of the border the party is on.

Coast weather

March is the wettest month at Gold Coast Seaway, with 11.4 rain days, and August the driest, with 4.6 (BoM). Late winter and spring are the most reliable months for an open-air set-up.
