Birthdays in the park
Dubbo Regional Council says a privately organised event in one of its parks, a birthday party for example, does not need a booking. Every park stays open to the public, though, so exclusivity is not assured (Dubbo Regional Council). Arrive early to claim a shady spot.
When it becomes an event
For an event under 50 people, the council's Event Organisers Toolbox asks for the event application and booking form at least three weeks ahead (Event Organisers Toolbox). The Dubbo Regional Botanic Gardens and Adventure Playground is listed as bookable for events (botanic gardens).
At the Showground
The 2023 Dubbo Showground booking form sets its own hire conditions. Marquees and jumping castles need written approval from the council, because underground services may need marking.
